The fact that you’re reading this article means that you are looking for ways to improve your income. Like so many others, you’re finding it hard to make ends meet and want to make money online. You have no doubt also been enticed by one or more of those ‘get rich quick’ schemes that are so prevalent online.
For good reason, you’re also probably skeptical. If you’ve ever tried any of these ‘magic bullet systems, ‘ you will have already discovered that they all depend on two things: traffic generation and SEO. The other thing you will have discovered is that they want you to generate traffic and get high search engine rankings for them, not yourself!
They’re not lying: the way to make money on the internet is to employ link-building and traffic generating techniques. If you’ve got to do that anyway, why should you do it for somebody else? They’ll just get paid for your efforts and throw you a pittance in return. Why not put those SEO techniques you’ve learned to work for you instead of somebody else?
‘But I’m just a used car salesman, ‘ you say. Isn’t that a marketable skill? You don’t need a PhD in IT to be an expert. IT junkies couldn’t sell a car to save their life. Whatever you do to make a living or whatever hobbies you may have, they can be turned into an online business.
Many people have been in their job for so long they know it like the back of their hand. They’re bored to death with it and since they’re so good at it, they forget that they had to learn their skill and that not everybody knows what they know. Take a TV repairman, for instance. You know what an LED backlight is, what it does and why it’s important. This information is no longer interesting to you, but to millions of TV viewers, it would be fascinating. They don’t even know what LED stands for, but they’d like to!
Without even thinking about it, you know that LED is an acronym for Light Emitting Diode. You know all there is to know about diodes as well. Right there can be the start of your new career! Start a blog and tell people about what you know.
Your first blog entry may be an article about LED and what it does. Go ahead and get technical - show off your expertise! Then distribute this article throughout the internet. A week later, write another article. Write about something different, like graphic LCD. Assume your readers don’t know a thing and teach them from the ground up.
Chip away at it and eventually you will establish yourself as an expert in your field. People will turn to you for advice and will buy the products you suggest they buy. You can make a good living as an affiliate or even as a writer. Just see where your blog takes you and build from there. Good luck!
